Hey Neil,
Well, I got those chickens taken care of. You should listen to my latest podcast (coming up later tonight) and I'll tell you all about it.

Same here Neil. I love the chickens. Although, I have to say, the 2 meat birds we have are more trouble than I thought. There is only one place near hear that processes them and I have not been able to schedule it with them. It's been 3 weeks and I dare say they may be getting too big. Anyway, we'll talk all about it on the next podcast. Thank you for the compliment and stay tuned, more on the way!

Hey, Thanks Fred! I sure appreciate the compliment. We are in the process of fixing up the website and getting a schedule set for our podcasts. Honestly, we were not prepared for the the reception we have received. There have been more listeners than we thought. So, instead of just cranking out some slop, we want to do it right. So, hang in there Fred, we've got more on the way!

Great podcast, really great to hear other homesteaders urban or country side talking about these things. I love chickens they are the best animal in the world. We have cows/horses and just finished with goats and sheep, but chickens I'll never part with

Hi Judy,
I love Swiss Chard, and there is nothing I like better than getting food from my own garden. I'm glad you like it too. OH, you know what else goes well with Swiss Chard? Blanche them and then sprinkle a little vinegar on them. Seasoned rice wine vinegar is good and I like red wine vinegar too. Great, now I'm hungry. Thanks for stopping by Judy.

Just had "greens" and reds and yellows (Swiss Chard) last night. Prepared somewhat like yours, but put some shrimp and a bit of whole wheat pasta on the top. Yum--and from my own garden.
